China build the biggest thermal solar plant

Nowadays, China is growing up rapidly in various fields especially when we talk about renewable energy. China is doing big efforts in researches and industry to reach the maximum power production in order to provide electricity for every Chinese citizen.

Main advantage of thermal solar plants :

The main advantage of thermal solar plants over traditional solar panel arrays is that they are able to generate far more power than photo-voltaic panels. These power plants can be massive, producing hundreds of megawatts of energy, an advantage that makes them competitive with coal-burning plants in a way that many renewable plants aren’t yet.

China has now the biggest thermal solar plant :

The Ivanpah plant produces a whopping 392 megawatts of electricity, enough to power 140,000 California homes.

Morocco will be the next country to build the biggest solar plant :

Another mirror farm under construction in Morocco, slated to the be world’s largest when complete, will generate 580 megawatts and serve 1.1 million people.
